This old English, Nottinghamshire story (and Folk song) features an archery competition for a golden arrow that has long appeared in Robin Hood tales. Robin Hood is a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English Folklore and most commonly associated with his stance of “robbing the rich to give to the poor”.
