Introduction

Symbol is fundamental to Jungs view of the way in which psyche functions. Engaging with and understanding symbol is the basis of Sandplay therapy. In this training week end we will explore symbol as well as the practicalities of writing symbol papers. Students will be encouraged to set up support and a  time line for completing a symbol paper.

 Saturday 25 November:

Coffee and tea available from 9am.

9.30 - 10am       Welcome and introduction

10 - 11.30          What are symbols in the work of Sandplay?    JUNG and KALFF

11.30 - 11.45     TEA

10.45 - 11-30      Group discussion on the above material.

11.30 - 1.00pm    Case material looking at the use of a symbol.

1.00pm - 2. 30     LUNCH

2.30 - 3.45           The Serpent as symbol 

3.45 - 4.00pm       TEA

4.00 - 5-30            Group supervision

Sunday 26 November
